The first in what I call my Cave series, these paintings also have a similar abstraction style, breaking down the planes of the rock face into softer shapes and shifting the colour palette to reflect a more intuitive or emotional response. This piece closely referencing a photograph I took from inside a cave on Perranporth beach, I was realystruck by the narrow depth of this particular cave and the stark light that penetrated the dark.
